Friendly classes taught in Bovey Tracey to enable you to practice at your own pace.

All types of yoga sessions include working on postures, pranayama, relaxation and meditation. Within the body and the mind, the aim is to build strength; encourage openess; listen to your own inner voice; find connection with yourself; slow down; pause; and move towards a place of wholeness.

Classes are built around a specific yogic theme, which runs for the 6 week block.

A 6 week block of yoga classes costs £57 (£9.50 per class for a pre paid block booking). Drop in rate is £11.50 per class.

Tuesday Evening @ Main Hall, Riverside Community Centre, Bovey Tracey.

6.30 – 7.45pm. Mixed ability – all are welcome.

Friday Morning @ Main Hall, Riverside Community Centre.

0900 – 1015 – Mixed ability – all are welcome.

1030 – 1130 – Gentle Yoga using chairs and props to support you. Accessible for those with health or mobility concerns. £8 per class.

Chair yoga

Mindful chair-based yoga offers numerous benefits, making accessible form for people of all ages and fitness levels. It helps improve flexibility, strength, and posture while being gentle on the joints. The mindfulness aspect enhances mental clarity, reduces stress, and promotes a sense of calm and well-being. Chair-based yoga supports both physical and mental health, contributing to a balanced and peaceful lifestyle.

Menopause Yoga Sessions

As someone in peri menopause myself, these sessions have been invaluable in creating a supportive community. Menopause yoga offers a range of benefits that support women during this transitional phase of life. It can help menopausal and peri menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety, and sleep disturbances by promoting relaxation and reducing stress levels. Additionally, menopause yoga fosters a sense of community and emotional support, empowering women to navigate this stage with greater ease and confidence.
